What is a bang?
It is a collaborative event where writers and artists get paired together to create something new. There is a minimum word count (differs from bang to bang) and usually has the writers submitting the summaries first, then the artists will choose a selection of summaries. Mods of the event will then factor in selections to come up with a team lineup.What is this bang about?
This bang is meant to create content related to rare pairs in the BNHA fandom. This is a ship-oriented bang, so all works should contain at least one rare pair in them, background ships that are not rare pairs are allowed, though they should not be the focus.What is the role of a Pinch Hitter and a Beta?
Pinch hitters will be asked to join teams in the event other creators drop out. Pinch hitters will be offered summaries on an as-needed basis, with no penalty for refusing to work on a summary you aren't interested in working on. Extensions and extra time for pinch hitters will be discussed as needed.
Betas serve as editors/proofreaders for teams that desire one. They will choose summaries they are interested in and work with their teams on an as-needed basis.What type of content is allowed?
All content is allowed with no restrictions. Inside the server, we ask that you be mindful of others and that you keep all NSFW and Problematic content in the appropriate channels.Are we able to join with a pre-planned partner? Or will we only be matched randomly?
Yes, you are able to join with a partner! On the sign-up form there will be a spot to indicate if you already have a partner planned. If not, you will be matched up based on the claims.

Guidelines

For the purpose of this bang, rare pairs will be considered any ship with 500 or less fics on AO3 at the time of summary submissions. This will count with them as the main pairing or background ship. Polyships are allowed, as long as they fall into the 500 or under category. To verify if your ship meets the requirements, please go to AO3, check the BNHA tag, enter the pairing into the "other tags to include" line, and click "sort & filter." It will give you the results of all fics with that pairing.This bang will alternate between regular and reverse bang.
⚓ 2023-2024 consisted of a combo regular/reverse bang.
⚓ 2024-2025 will be a regular/traditional bang.
⚓ 2025-2026 will be a reverse bang.
Our creation period will be four months.

Minimum Requirements

Artists: Digital Art: Clean illustration with flat colors
Animation: At least 30 seconds
Mood Board: 9 images that represent the fic
Podfic: At least 10 minutes of narration
Cosplay: 1 photo depicting a scene from the fic
Any other art forms may be directed to mods in the #ask-a-mod channel for discussion.
Writers: New, unpublished 2000 word fic. Chaptered fics are okay but must be 100% complete at time of final check-in. Incomplete fics will not be accepted.

Check-In Process

Check-ins will run for one week and consist of 3 pings: one at the start, one in the middle, and one on the last day.
